Hebrew Peacemaker

Grounded in Not Knowing. Rooted in Ancestors. Engaging a Radically-Changing World.

Presence is the Peacemaker.

Oseh Shalom, Hebrew for peace-maker, is one of the name of the nondual / God in the Torah and throughout Jewish Liturgy. The Kabbalist Jewish mystics saw their role to be intermediaries, enablers, facilitators of the union of the absolute and the relative, God and Creation - Peace. Hebrew Peacemaker recognizes that Presence itself is the manifestation of peace, and it is in our capacity to be its usherers, to reveal, invoke, and release into the Presence that which is already here. This Presence cannot be owned, manufactured, it is mysterious and intelligent. Within it, nervous systems disarm, psychological binds are released, blame, grief and yearning find their refuge. Hebrew Peacemaker embraces trauma-informed, meditative, liturgical, psycho-dynamic, psychonautic, psychedelic, artistic and other modalities that facilitate this Presence across cultures, languages and spiritual traditions.

Rabbi Rami’s ancesreal lineage comes from Ashkenazi Eastern European Jewery of Poland and Hungary. Since the 1st millennium CE, Jews privileged by limited liberties as subjects of the Muslim Caliphate allowed many to travel. Throughout the middle ages, Jewish travelers have born witness to, mingled and reported from, the many cultures and traditions, wonders and the calamities they encountered in Asia, Africa, the Mediterranean sea, from Spain to the Roman, Byzantium, and Sassanian empires.

Hebrew Peacemaker continues this historical line of global deployment, bearing witness among the peoples of the world, in light of present-day global human displacement, geopolitical conflict & climate change - inquiring, exploring, expanding, nurturing, learning, and acknowledging, while adding the rich, ancient, epigentic, and emergent Jewish cultural context weaving into the diverse, culturally-complex planetary fabric of humanity.

Hebrew Peacemaker weaves Presence from Nonviolent Communication, Way of Council, dialogue modalities with Jewish cantorial rituals, training with Jewish visionaries Zen Buddhist teacher and social entrepreneur Bernie Glassman, and international peace-builder Dr. Paula Green, recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as “Unsung Hero of Compassion.” as well as historic world-facing figures such as the Baal Shem Tov & Rabbi Benjamin of Tudelo.
